Disadvantages of not having Event Security
Event security is highly important for the safety of event goers and the security of the property itself. There are many risks involved if you decide against having event security. Here are a few disadvantages of not having security:
Criminal Attacks
If your event lacks security, it is easily accessible to criminals. It is unfortunate that recently there have been so many attacks on big events, but it is a reason to hire security. With criminals roaming around your event stealing items or even worse, it is likely that you may get a bad name as an event planner and may lose sponsors.
Property Damage
Property damage occurs when there is no security to prevent crowds or individuals from becoming destructive. When crowds get out of hand, it could potentially become aggressive and could then result in the destruction of property. If there is security, this can be avoided.
Injuries
Without security to maintain crowd control, it is likely that the crowd will get out of hand and somebody will get injured. If there is adequate security in place, injuries can be prevented as the security would be able to calm the crowd before it gets out of control.
Lawsuits
Without security, the event planners are susceptible to lawsuits. If anything happens at the event such as an attendee getting injured, an item being damaged or stolen, without the presence of security, the event planners can be sued for negligence. Having security will hinder individuals from making these cases.
